sorry if this has been discussed before we bought an 09 Freelander 2 last week and the drivers rear window and central locking has stopped working fuses have been checked and replaced...any other ideas ? thanks in advance

Need to check fault codes as the Windows/locking is controlled by a module in the door

Have you checked wiring to doors is intact

Do all the other doors lock and Windows work etc?

hi unsure how to check fault code
Complete girl so no idea if wiring is intact sorry
All other doors and windows work fine

I suggest that you get it booked in to a decent garage with the right diagnostic equipment and knowledge

It'll be cheaper then guessing!

Where are you located?

Hi I ssumed that diagnostics only covered engine management, So thank you for that, we are located in Stoke on Trent Staffordshire

Everything is controlled by sodding computers these days:(
But as both units in the door have stopped, it's possible the connector has come lose. You'd need to remove the door card to get access.
As you only bought it last week, if you got it from a dealer get them to fix it. If not, then either go to a local landrover independent or get ready to raid the tool box.

Things can go wrong in 2 weeks - but its more likely that its gone wrong previously and been bodged. Does it look like the trim for the door has been removed since it was built? eg not as close fitting or out of alignment compared to the other doors.

Thank you :) does anyone have any idea if any other fuses can be responsible for or affect doors and windows other than F1 F2 F3 F4

Yes GrumpyGel the rubber sheath that contains the wires isn't fitted to the body of the door correctly
Oh dear. Somebody's been messing around. Could be a broken wire. Take the sheath off and look for electricians tape or heat shrink.
Or call an auto electrician.
