Well took care of them came in at 14lbs and back out at 285lbs in 20 weeks.
sanitized the barns and do it all over again, was just the slave for the land lord.
The favorite pig went in the freezer twice a year ham steaks and pork chops and sausage yummmmmm.

the man that owned them had 25,000 sows and he was a small grower, thats about 750,000 pigs to market and employed about 110 workers for the sow units.
Thats a lot of pigs. And a lot of pig poop to go wiv it. TV program I saw was talking about multi-story farm buildings for future mass mass mass production. The major problem they had was all the poop, and how to get rid of it. They dug out a massive lake and filled it. As it leaked into the ground, they topped it up. Nice. Locals a mile away wern't happy as it was said to be contaminating the water level, and the ground wasn't too firm.

When yer buy yer tratter yer won't be allowed to freeze yer pig. Yer need to look after it like a good little tratterer.

that type of pit is the past, the had to pumpand fill and cap them. Our building's were 80'x200' with a 8' concrete basement with vent vans for the fume's all putter controlled, ventilation, heat in winter, feed was auto as well as water just had to keep things running. And then the pig health and record every shot given, as type and amount and withdrawal of the meds.
The farms have to have enough ground for the manure disposal, we farmed 5000 acres and acess to another 4000 acres for manure and the records were something else ,have to keep records for 5yrs and recording meter's on the amount applied per acre and what crop was growing as different nutrition up take for different crops
