hey peeps so looking for a car and was thinking of maybe a Freelander 2, due to clean air zone and ulez I would need to get the petrol Freelander 2, so my question is are they any good?

Had a bad experience with a diesel Freelander 2 before so it's a bit of a put off

The petrol Freelander 2 in petrol aren't so commonly available and its in the highest tax bracket too

So yea asking myself if I should bother and wanted to ask what you lot think of the Freelander 2 in petrol/automatic?

Would like to hear your experiences...

Thanks

Funny how preferences are different in different countries.

On the main car sales website over here at the mo there are 3 diesel, 4 petrol 3.2 and 1 petrol 2.0 F2s for sale.

Preferences are the same with F1s, 3 V6s and 1 diesel.

These will be split between NZ new and 2nd hand Jap imports.

Which petrol Freelander 2? Haven't seen it

Dunno if it was sold in the UK, but for the last couple of years F2 was sold with a 2.0 i4 engine (Ford unit) - I believe replacing the i6 rather than along side it.
Oh okay....you got any experience of the Freelander 2 in petrol yourself?

Thinking of ditching my i6 HSE and replacing it with a 3 door Evoque. But it's a heavily modified beast. Not for the shy type or those who don't like getting attention. It's also loud !
I've had it 8 years now and have enjoyed every minute. But I've had this itch to modify a 3 door Evoque and the itch won't go away !!
