I have just purchased a 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 2.2 Se. I have noticed that the RH rear heater element has an electrical wire and connection coming down from the roof lining attaching to it, as you might expect. but on the LH side there is nothing. All there is is a stud like connection at the top of the element. Should there be an electrical wire running to this as per other side or am i missing something? I have not had an opportunity to test as yetif it physically works.

Thanks for any advice.

Dave.

are you talking about the actual rear windscreen, ie the one with a windscreen wiper, or one of the side windows ?

If it's a side window then it's not heated, what you can see is the aerial for the radio / key fob / other stuff

you might like to come back and thank us if we're right, or tell us we're wrong and we'll try again.

Ahh! It is the ones on the rear side windows. I thought they were heater elements like on the rear windscreen. Thank you all for your time, help and advice.

not at all, glad to put your mind at rest. I know of at least one land rover main dealer that was stumped by this when they first come out.

although we're a mainly friendly lot on here, and will give you as much advice as we can, there is another forum dedicated to the freelander 2 which has loads of advice. This can be found at:

Freel2.com - Index

however, hopefully you won't abandon us
