Hi lads and lassies, apologies for not being back sooner, hope you are all well.

My daughter has a Freelander 2, but, has lost her key. By lost, I mean, not mislaid, but totally lost..

Question is, if we source a new docking station with the relevant key, will they need reprogramming, or will the car start ok?

I understand that the code to open the doors might need fixed, but getting it to actually go is the main thing just now.

Daughter,oh yes we've heard that one before, you've posted on the Range Rover forum perhaps the mods will move your post to the appropriate site before you get too much abuse.;):eek::D
 
It will need programmed to the car to be able to do anything.

Don't worry about posting ere, in the big Freelander section. They won't mind. It's rare someone posts in ere with only one fault. Will make a nice change for them.

I do have an OBD doofer, but I'm not sure if that'll do the job. I'll get on to its manufacturer for advice before I properly kill it .

Now Nigs flounced off can get away with all sorts. You can quote yerself an everyfin, but not much point now he’s not here to get annoyed at it
