Hi all.Please could you give me an idea and any pointers on cylinder head removal on the L series.

Head needs to come off and planning the work in a few days. Take it the timing belt has to come off etc.

Semtex, or, if you're in ''The North'' 2 tonne of cow poo, a lot of nails and a detonator.
 
The L series is a simple engine to work on. Why are you doing the HG ? They don't normally fail! But if it has got to be done there is no point in not doing the cam and pump belts at the same time. I often change the water pump and thermostat as well, especially if it's overheated ;)
