HI can any one help my freelander keeps cuting out when driving as if the immobiliser comes on . when i use the indicators but not all the time i all so loose all dash lights

Have a search for electrical problem, this happened to my T reg 1999 Freelander, and I spent loads chasing this electrical problem, with no luck, it got to a stage where it wasn't safe to drive as it would happen at any time, and the car would just stop a total shut down. I part ex the car, I got £1350, Good luck.

Had intermittent problems with the ignition switch on mine. Occationally the dash would cut out, but not the engine in my case. Might be worth a check though.

Diesel? Run a wire from a live on the ignition to the fuel cut out soleniod. Should cure it and the imobiliser will still stop the starter turning over for a thief.

Hi all, just got a freelander 1999 this week
i also have noticed a problem with it - the breaks are weak/spongy especially after changing the front pads, tried to bleed on the front nipples but hasn't helped any ideas on how to bring them up?

Koi - did you bleed all four in the correct order. Might need the fluid renewed?

you'd be best to start your own thread in relation to this.
