just bought td4 and it was fitted with michelin synchrone tyres where on the scale of 1 being totally **** to lets say 5 good excellant so on..

and if these tyres are good why cant i get one or av michelin upgraded ...

and what tyre is equivalent to the mich synchrone...:D

Michelin synchrone was replaced by Michelin latitude tour

However, you can't mix them on the car as they are slightly different in size to the synchrones.

Best bet is to buy 4 new tyres all the same make.

If you need "A" new tyre, i have a near as makes no difference brand new synchrone on my spare wheel which will be for sale in the next few days once my new AT's arrive. 215/65/16

Hi, you can't just put 1 new tyre on. If you do, you will cause damage to your drive train. As was previously stated your best bet is to change all 4.

Hi
I have a 2002 TD4 fitted with Synchrone 215/65/R16 102H tyres.
I need to change a front one - nail in it - so need two new.
Happy to discuss with anyone.

My spare is brand new Synchrone, but the older, I think 99H, rating, so if anyone had a brand new one of these, I could pair it with this.

Thanks

To be strictly accurate you could have a mix n match of tread depths on the car provided front pair have an average rolling circumference the same as that of the rear or slightly less. The diff in the front and back compensate across the axle. Eg on the front you could have 1 tyre with 6mm of tread and 1 with 4mm of tread, the rear could have both tyres with 5mm as the combined rolling circumference is no different.

Guys I'm looking for a Michelin Synchrone tyre (preferably unused spare) 225/55 R17, any body still got one? I realise this thread is a couple of weeks old and I might be too late

Cheers, craw

I'm after one or maybe two aswell - New or Partworn with at least 4mm of tread

I've got an unused spare synchrone that has sat covered on the rear of the car. Covered means that there has been no sunlight degradation of the rubber.

I'm willing to sell to help cover the cost of a new Pirelli Scorpion that I changed the running tyres to.

Mine is still available.

Ok old thread reawakening. Today I replaced 2 mich lat tour tyres with new on back, back ones to the front.
But..... my spare is a synchrone with 5-6mm tread which I removed and stored in garage and got the near worn out lat tour from front put on as the spare.
Did I do the right thing or should i have left the better tread synchrone as my spare ?
Thanks.
