:welcome2:Hi all, there is allot of talk about pesky TD4 fuel pumps failing .... indeed I had both of mine replaced last year (thank god the car warranty paid for it...phew). I know these pumps are an issue - so can you please post the time/milage duration pumps appear to be lasting. Also if it is relevant - perhaps the make of pump ...... ie LR, bosch, bripart etc if known. Perhaps info gathered may help others.......

Mine are: genuine LR in tank and Bosch intermediate - all ok so far at 15k & 12 months.

Rear wheel arch pump - the awkward, bar-steward one.:mad:

Original pump failed at 88,534 miles after 6 years 11 months. :(

New pump from LR dealer £132.26 Made in Austria job. :(

It had better last at least another 88K

The original (under bonnet) lift pump went at 92k miles, not sure of the brand replacement but it has lasted up to 127k miles until it conked out and will be replaced next week.

The original under wheel arch pump failed at 4 years and about 40k (from memory) I first of all fitted a non genuine one from euro car parts that lasted only 8 months and was very noisy.

Now replaced with a Land Rover one that is now been on the car of 14 months

Original LR arch pump failed at 4 1/2 years and 37k on my 04. Just as i bought it!
Got 0.8 miles from the dealer before the dash lit up and the engine wouldnt rev and could do 25mph max.

Sorted by dealer though.

Could mis fuelling kill the pump early? My injector flow rates are a bit over the shop as well and wondering if they could be related
