Hi All
time to sort my Freelander 1 TD4 out, Non Runner!
the Story is...Was running just fine as it normally did and was on a one hundred mile run and almost home, only twenty miles to go, when the engine just cut out and the engine managent light came on. Coasted to a halt and would not restart! was cranking over but not firing. I was recovered the remaining distance around midnight!
after investigation, I decided to change the High pressure fuel pump and fuel rail sensor, plus the injector loom. i removed an injector to see if it was firing...it was not, non of them were. Now...my Mechanic friend put his test gear on the vehicle and he confirmed the injectors were not firing.
My question is...could the immobiliser have engaged whilst the engine was running to stop the injectors having a pulse from the ecu, and if that is the case, what do I have to replace to rise the Phoenix from the ashes?
Any help greatly appreciated and many thanks in advance!

Hi

This area is really to say ‘hello’, and introduce yourself before jumping right in with your questions…
F1 won’t crank if it’s the immobiliser.
I’m curious why you have thrown all those parts at it when you don’t know what the problem is…

Have you read the codes with your friends test gear? What were they?

Copy your text and post it in the Freelander section.
