I've added a picture of a High Pressure Fuel Pump, as fitted to an M47 engine.
There are three fuel outlets, 1, 2 & 3 annotated on the picture.
Might anyone know what each of the pipes are responsible for?

From memory.
Pipe 1 is the fuel supply pipe from the low pressure fuel pump.
Pipe 2 is the fuel return to the tank.
Outlet 3 is the high pressure fuel supply to the fuel rail (injectors).
