Having researched the FL1 Fuel Pump and all its queries on LandyZone, I've learned that buying a cheap Fuel Pump (rear-R/H wheel arch type) can be a mistake. There is actually a video on YouTube of a FL1 owner playing the noise of a brand-new pump immediately after fitment. It's enough to turn my hair grey! What a racket!!
Anyway, down to business... Can anyone recommend a reliable pump supplier, someone who has already bought & fitted one that has made the grade? Ebay is littered with Chinese made units and the sellers/manufacturers say they are made from the very best materials and will last a very long time. Hmm.

Wow, thanks guys. I'm on to using the information you've given me. Although not the underbonnet one. That simply doesn't apply.
I'll get one asap.

That under bonnet one would fit, so you are ok to get a new one of those, but even used pierburg will still runs for thousands of miles are almost silent

I fitted a TI automotive pump from Paddock. All good.

You can usually go on price - a proper pump will be over £100, and the crap ones around £30.

Hi Arctic. I just bought the Peirburg Pump, the one you quoted on Ebay. Fuel-Pump-Pierburg

My own pump is working okay, although I'm certain it runs for longer before reaching the desired pressure and shutting-down when the ignition is turned ON.
The pump will be carried in the car when going on lenghthy journeys, as part of a Spares-Pack-Up. When combined with my Diagnostic Reader, I'm reasonably well catered for.
So thanks for the information, and also to the others for their inputs too.
