Hi.....this topic has a few years but i love to know the specs of the last car,the blue Freelander.....it looks so match lifted than the usual 40/50mm spacers/lift on the shock absorvers and the 225/75R16 or 205/80R16,this last one's are what i think to put on mine, for what i have seen, the 225's get to close of the stering arms.

Someone who thinks Gaylanders are good off road has more problems than a bad back. If you mean mounting the kerb and parking on the verge on mildly damp grass then i retract that.:D:D

Nobody is suggesting they want to go rock crawling, deep wading or heavy mud-plugging.
Some people just want to drive a comfortable, rust free, well heated compact car up some green lanes.
I love Range Rovers and Defenders too, but I don't feel the need to go on those forums to slag off the electrical issues they have, rust, slipped liners etc. People can like what they like.
If you don't want to assist then don't. That's fine. You have shed loads of Range Rover knowledge that people need and value and I respect that.
Just leave us to get on with it.

No need to take it to heart.

Wammers idea of off roading is sitting in the drawing room with a port and sending the butler :D

Mr Wammer's should have a very macho-fender......whit 15.000£ in extras, for everyday use and non pavement roads lol.
My Freelander is obsiusly not so good has a Discovery, for example, but here in Portugal the diference betthin a freelander and a Discovery, only in Mot,road taxes and highway taxe is the doble.
If you do 20.000km a year,its a diference of at least 1000€.
Its a considerable amout of money for a weekend car....
A very good friend of mine, allready have all Land Rover,Defender 110 HCPU 300Tdi,Discovery 300Tdi,2 Freelander's,Range Rover P38 whit 13.000€ spend in extras and services etc etc.......and surprinsindly he said that the Freelander was the best offroad he hade.....of corse dosent have low range, but for the type of car it is,its the best of his class.

We own Freelanders - of course we have a sense of humour. Especially the colour mine is!:eek:
I just think all the Gaylander jokes have been done now. If you're going to have a dig then at least come up with something fresh.

Do I take it you are not a gay hairdresser then? ;)
