Whats the largest wheel size and tyre combination you can put on a freelander 1 2.0 diesel yr 2000.

Any pictures would be good.

I have the 17inch wheels on mine, not sure of the tyre size 245 I think.

I doubt that - unless you have spacers fitted.

The standard LR size tyre on a 17" wheel is 225/55 17.

I have upsized to 235/55 17 and wouldn't like to go bigger as they are likely to run the bottom coil spring cup on the front.

Left: 205/80/16 - no rub, no spacers
Right (on car) - stock 215/65/16

Clearance between tire and spring cup.

I did run 225, 70 16 Mud terrians on my 'R' reg EXDI but have not put them on the wheels for the TD4 yet.
