Hi guys,
I have got 2002 freelander 1.
I have changed the front and rear bumpers n lights for facelift model.
Just wondered is it possible to change centre console and instrumental cluster surrounding?
Please let me if anyone done this conversion and whether its a straight swap.

completely different switches,positions, probably loom too. too much hassle. just part ex and get one

don't take my word for it yet, i'm sure someone will either agree or say "yeah its only an 1 hrs job" bear in mind nothing is impossible its a matter of how much cash you got and/or how much of aa headache you want getting it the fit and work!!!

it's far more complicated than switch positions and loom etc.

long and the short of it is later dashes use can-bus technology for instruments etc, earlier ones don't.

someone got nearly all the way with the upgrade, even had a special pulse count convertor or some such nonsense made to allow the speedo to work correctly, but it all failed after a week or so.

there is a thread on here somewhere, but can't remember who by.

sorry to rain on your parade, but its a no go.

Thanks guys, i will def leave it then, i thought it may be a straight swap but it seems like a right pain.

You have lots of nice trim options for the old style dash .
