can any one help me i cant seem to recalibrate my ccu

my boot glass drops about 2" at a time theres no continuos movement when i try the reset procedure i take bat neg off for over 10 secs and when i put it back on its supposed to drop completly but it only drops an inch or 2 and then when i press the down button it drops another 2" and sounds the dreded beep this has only been hapening a few days but is very annoying

may be of some intrest

boot catch had prob but fixed its self after removing power and re instating

rear wash/wipe no response from button since start of this prob (few days)

if anyone could give me any ideas i would apprechiate it

couple of days before the probs started happening i did go through a big flood nearly killed car water up over the headlights n stuff but its all dried out now had to change solinoid on starter but all is well again apart from the boot window and srs light

could all this be related to a ccu problem and if so where the hell is the ccu haynes has no answers for me

Is the rear wiper sat on the window rubber seal? It needs to be for the tail gate to open and also the glass to drop. Car can sense if the rear wiper is in this position. Is it a 3 door? If so check roof switch reports the roof is fitted.

Na it's a 5 door and wipers on the rubber it was working fine then the next day all this the thing thats bugging me is it won't let me recalibrate would u happen to know what the ccu controls because I've had an intermittent prob with one of the doors for a long while now and not sure if it's related
I'm getting a little bald patch now from scratching my head

The tailgate window drops 2 inches when you open the tailgate. When closing it it should go up 2 inches. If it don't, then it may be it hasn't sensed it's closed. You'll see a door open lamp on the dash. If you push the switch to open the tailgate slowly you will hear a click as the relay above the RHS wheel arch reacts.

Location of the wiper is sensed is a sensor in the wiper.

Window position sensor is above the glass edge when the window is closed. Can't remember now as it's been a very long day but I think there could be another sensor in the regulator that controls the window.

You can test things like this by putting your Freelander into self test mode. http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/self-test-mode-freelander-1-diagnostics-124575.html
