The Disco has reached the end of the road. It just scraped through the MOT with advisories all concerning the chassis. The rear chassis rails are splitting and will need to sorted. There are the 'three amigos' showing on the dash. HDC, TC and ABS all lit up. The gearbox could really do with replacement or reconditioning, the ACE system has already cost me £600 to repair a leak and the air springs have let me down twice (pun intended
) And both sunroofs leak! I've always wanted a soft top landy but never quite had the funds for a third vehicle to use as a toy. So, long story short, I decided that the 3dr freelander would give the top off option, is cheaper than buying a replacement Disco and would still fulfill my off road fun. I'm not a seasoned mud plugger and have no wish to be. I've owned a landrover now for over 10yrs (LR90, Disco 1 and the Disco 2) so change is in the air!
