Hi All,

I would just like to introducie myself on Landyzone. I've owned a Freelander 1.8S (04) for about 5 years now (97k on clock, goes like a trooper). However, my self and my wife have thought about the Range Rover as a possible upgrade. I particularly like the idea of the 4.4L BMW engined RR Vogue and thought about picking one up for reasonable money from the usual sites (autotrader, pistonheads etc) Is there any HUGE issues I should look out for? I understand that all second hand cars carry risk and that is fine, just wanted to pick the brains of the assembled LR community and see what the consensus would be.

Budget:

£15k
would like rear DVD's for the kids
milage? you tell me, do they fail at certain milages?
Black(wifes choice) beige or black interior.

Any suggestions? I cant go through any more evenings looking at websites with no insider knowledge it is doing my head in.

All suggestions most appreciated.
Regards

Scott

Do some searches in the Range Rover section, the L322 is full of problems, weak gearboxes, VANOS, water leaks damaging electronics, air suspension etc. Keep at least £3K of your budget for fixing the thing.
