This was a 1.8 DIESEL not PETROL - strange or not???
Passed a garage today and spotted a Freelander on the forecourt. Went in to take a look with a view to buying it and everything looked good. Wasn't until I got home and ran it through the insurance quote websites that I spotted that when I input the registration it kept coming up as a petrol. Was def a diesel though, it had a dirty big sticker on the window and I noticed a warning sticker on the rear quarter-light above the filler cap.
Can't find any info on 1.8 diesels so does this look like it may have been converted? Should I avoid this or not?
1.8 XEi on a '05 plate with just over 37000 miles, really good condition, FSH and a few extras fitted (light guards, side running boards) - sticker price £7495. Does that sound good? Any help appreciated
