hi have purchased a new complete tailgate regulator and motor is there any specific way to reposition the glass on the regulator or will calibrating it move to the right position .
Appreciate any help thanks

You will have to center the glass as best you can in the brackets, also on the regulator there are 2 bolts/nuts which adjust the tilt of the glass towards/away from the rubber seal...trial and error is the key. Try n get best fit that don't let water in.

Thanks so do the brakes have to be in a specific position or will the regulator adjust this when calibrated

New regulators should be fully wound down. So fit it in that position, making sure the glass clamps are in the same place as the old regulator. Then just bolt it all up, as the old one came out.
The window will need calibration after the regulator is fitted. This is done by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. The CCU will drive the window fully down, which it will be anyway. Then switch the ignition on and drive the window fully up until it stops. The CCU will store the correct closed position, and you're done. However I always check the window is centred in the frame, and adjust the clamps/ mounting bolts as necessary. I'll recalibrate the window after I'm happy with the fit.
