Hi wondered if theres anyone out there that could help me, just bought a freelander x reg 2.0di wanting to get more power thinking of putting an intercooler and turning diesel pump up, anyone any suggestion or how to do this???
I did on my discovery and it worked brillant but unsure what to do and best things to use on freelander

Any suggestion or thoughts welcome and very appreciated

the L series doozil is used in several rover cars in turbo form. :googleit:.

any dump with one of ^^^^^^^^^^ init.

Before youstart tuning it is important to make sure that the car is in good health – that it is up to date with servicing and cambelt changes. If the performance of the car is very poor in the low revs or ‘hits a brick wall’ at 4000rpm it is likely that MAF (mass air flow) sensor has deteriorated. This is very common. You can increase the amount of air going into the engine is by removing/ blanking or disabling the EGR valve.

MG Rover 200 220 25 ZR 400 420 45 ZS L-series Diesel cars have a turbo setup.

Car and the engine is perfect t belts just been done an droped the oil an changed filters an ive done the egr blank an ive ordered the de cat an ive thought of putting a front mounted intercooler on!
When i put intercooler on my 300tdi last year i had to put the diesel pump higher/ fuel ratio! But dont have a clue how to do it with a freelander diesel pump dont want to have to strip in down
 
why would you put an intercooler on something that doesn't have a turbo...as said, do the turbo thing first, otherwise its like putting an electronic blow off valve on a 1.0 corsa
 
The freelander has a turbo an the oringinal intercooler but the cooler is tiny ive just seen the injectors that have been sugestion the sd1's an i want a set of them aswell
 
If its got a turbo then it int a DI, post a pic of your engine bay, or find one on google that looks the same and link to it
 
Hi is has a turbo an a standered intercooler ive just had good power upgraids in the past with biger inter coolers an i found the sdi injectors an im gona treat my self 2 then

According to Microcat it's fitted with a turbo, part #pmf100400
 
Same as my 3 door l series xedi I thought they were called and mine had turbo standard

Didnt no u could get them with out turbo I no I seen one with no intercooler fitted but still had a turbo
