Got a couple of fault lights which keep intermittently popping up on the dash. They only seem to come on when braking, but every now and then. On the temperature gauge, there's a tyre symbol with TC and on the fuel gauge these a symbol of a car going downhill with an ! next to it.
When lights have appeared on dash, ive ran a diagnostic check but it's come back with nothing.

Could anyone enlighten me of what could be causing the issue? Or ideas on what to inspect.
 
It will probably be the switch on your brake peddle failing that's bringing up the TC & HDC faults.

If you're using a cheap ODBII scanner it will only be talking to your engine's ECU, it won't be talking to the ABS/TR ECU that is throwing those lights. If you put a LR (F2) specific diagnostic reader on it, it will tell you the codes, or take it along to a LR workshop with the correct gear.

Title says its a TD4 2.2 which would make it a Freelander 2.

Don't know what the dash layout is in a F2 or F1 facelift.

It does say 2.2, which would signify a FL2, although I don't think they do a Sport FL2. However the OP then describes the FL1 facelift dash layout with the TC light in the temp gauge and the HDC! light in the fuel gauge.

This is very different to the FL2 dash, which doesn't have either the TC or HDC! lights, also the temp and fuel needles are combined in one gauge.
This is why I assumed it to be an FL1 facelift.

lol, as I was reading it I thought there wasn't something quite right ... but went by the only specific identification available to those of vintage Freelanders :)

Noobs eh, who'd have 'em.

Oh, and over here everybody calls their Freelander a "Sport", even if its a TOTR HSE with all the extras, they still call it a "Freelander Sport". I think it was started by dealers bringing in 2nd hand cars from Japan and registering them with our DVLC equivalent as "Sport" models even though they aren't. Infuriates my Freelander OCD. Bit like calling a F1 a 2.2 ;)
