My mate wants to know how to free a seized clutch, I have heard many things such as drive over logs/bricks to jolt it or to put the transfer box in neutral, bring the revs up then ram it into low range but thought you guys might know a good way before any damage is done? it's a series 1 109

What we used to do is get in it try to get it going and then drive around with your foot on the clutch pedal,if you time it right you can change gear without the clutch,try to keep in 2nd if you can and just keep on and off the throttle(still with your foot on the clutch) if you accelerate hard it should break free but might take a while. You can't do this with the vehicle jacked up it has to be under load(on it's wheels) for it to work,good luck

try tow starting it with the cluch pressed down.... basically you have to turn the transmission against the stationary engine and clutch, with the pressure of the clutch spring released.
or try flicking the starter with clutch down, in a high gear and footbrake on, dont burn out starter by trying too much though.

1st or 2nd gear low box, keep clutch in, keep blipping the throttle.
dont do it in reverse, it'll eat the idler gear.
lots of clear road, practice dropping the main gearstick into nuetral as the revs hit the correct spot, incase you need to stop.
make sure the brakes work, not that its gonna be easy stalling it!

how long has it been stood up?

finally, i wedged my clutch pedal in with a lump of wood cos it made my leg ache.
(i also shagged reverse..........)

its been stood for about 5 years, not sure its a series gearbox if that makes a difference, its got a rover v8 in it. will keep trying your methods, thanks.
