Some one on LRUK is giving away a free TD engine out of a 110. it's 99% complete and was removed as he ugraded to a TDi. He wants i gone in the next 48hrs so if you want it let me know and I'll pass your details onto him. The engine is in Derby.

PM me your mobile number and I'll post it to him on LRUK don't know if he's online though.

This might come in handy, lad in the pub has a TD in his Series and it's just started blowing lots of oil out of the oil filler

I've sent him your number so I'll leave it with the to of you.

Oil blowing out the dipstick is ususally worn rings, or blocked oil pickup filter or crankcase breather. Does it smoke when you take the oil filler cap off.?

It think it might have split a couple of rings, i've seen it blowing a little bit before when i looked at it for him but it's now spitting it out - had that on an old TD of mine and it was the rings

got it home last night, looks to be in ok condition - fun with it + 2 ton engine lift on the back

only issue now is that bloke who it was for wants my spare 200Tdi putting in his S3 so i'm now wondering what to do with this TD, put it in my S3 perhaps

can an individual become a registered charity ?

Put the tdi in your series 3 and tell yer mate it's the td or nothing.

he was pleading povety the other day but now "appears" to have found enough money to pay me to fit the Tdi for him

I have th turbo denzil in me lightweight, slightly more top speed, better accelaration and a lot cheaper to run than the 2286petrl. sounds bloody good aswell, straight pipe from turbo to just under passenger door and k&n on the turbo, you can hear the whistle slightly!!!!!!
I got this engine for free and im very impressed by it, gets very sideways on the roundabouts

Please note that driving in this manner is not encouraged by PCLZ as it is irresponsible and may lead to accidents, damage to the environment, an increase in repair bills and fxx.

Is that so.
But because we're in powerless Landies we can plead it wasn't us because we don't have enough power to do that and even if we had we would be snapping half shafts every time we tried it .... it's a worthwhile defence.

I know we don't like accidents, but they don't do us much damage - just inconvenience- and who gives a bugger about the environment? We all fix our own cars as much as possible, so I can't see a problem oppy-locking on roundabouts.

Well, not quite true - my TD5 Disco won't do it on the local roundabout. It just slides, and the most exciting part is I get no idea WHERE it is sliding!

With absolutely NO sense of humour, NO imagination, and fancy ideas about his own importance.

There are lots of them like that.

Sadly.
