:D Hello world... well that is what I used to write as a programmer, My family and myself are in the south of France, yes it's 32 degrees today and 26degrees at the moment. There now that is out of the way I have just purchased a Freelander LHD but I am now starting to panic as it has a year code of YA which is supposed to be bad as it has a K 1.8i engine. I also have problems identifying the exact model of the car as there are no original documents with it. Bought from a garage, Mint condition (for age) but who knows??? Please help...

:) And they say that the French are rude..., I am looking for constructive info as this car is cheaper than my XJ6 to run, 10 - 15 kms max per day, is this really going to be an issue?

tiz not being rude - just truthful.

The 1.8K Landrover is trubble, just waiting to happen - get yoself aTD4 if yu want a Hippoo - or expect BIG bills. You might be lucky - but that is what it is - luck.

tbh ,the freee lander is only one up from a citroen ami 8 (no offence to citroen)

most reliable(un) 4x4 off the road ;)

Salut! Vendez le 1.8 et puis achetez un Td4, ils sont vraiment le meilleur freelander ;) Ou, vendez le 1.8 et achetez un Defender... le meilleur Land Rover ;)

Oh well 1000 euros was not a waste in my eyes, how can I get the exact model number of this "Piece of Crap"? I knly have the VIN number to go by...
