Hi all
Well found the fix with many thanks to Wammers for the checking process.
Now to do the fix,
expecting to find a nice little plate to unbolt, easy peasy, but no. scratching head were the dam hell isit.
resorted to Utube.
found it LOL
under passenger rear seat
1st stage
get box knife cut out hunk of carpet and underfelt.
2nd stage
grinder or hammer and chisel cut out floor section app 30cm sq
pull back steel and have a plain view of fuel pump
feels like going back to the stone age having to do a process like this.
Were there any thoughts of later when they fitted tanks to RRs NO not at all take the tank down if u don't like it LOL.

I'd just take the tank down. It doesn't take long and you can check the brake lines at the same time. Later cars with 2 exhausts at the back pass the lines behind the tank where they stay nice and moist and rot away.

Spanner in the right hand grinder in the left, which way do I go.
have two exhaust pipes one box. brake pipes were a bit cruddy but copper greased to protect (at the back by the looks)
may well prefer the tank drop rather than the cut and shut
Thanks fo that

The connector to the tank, make sure tits pushed in all the way, and use a zip tie to keep it in place or one day you'll be chugging along and you wont know why it stopped on you, I know someone that did this..... OK it could have been me, I'm not saying

Mine aren't zipped! I've a vague memory there's a thing you squeeze to loosen them.
