well i was under my RR and saw a two wire plug hanging bye the transfer case and e-brake drum it plugs in on top but i left it out till i know what it does because every thing is working now and i dont want to mess it up does anyone know what it is for

Reverse light switch or diff lock light would be my guess. Does depend on model of RR (you didn't say ). Both are fairly easy to test

its a 2001 4.6 hse p38 and the reverse lights work tho.mabe something with the 4x4 sys. as i have not put it in any low gears YET!

well the reverse lights work. but i put it in low gear and all the indercaters were flashing and a light on the dash wit 2 gears was also and a beeping and the desplay said to put in neutral so i did and tryed again and same thing. can that plug have something to do with this?

Yes. The ECU needs to know you're in neutral before it will switch from High to Low range. You'll need to plug this back onto the neutral switch.

pluged it in and everything is working great thanks.
