I want to do this to mine, my series 3 goes around 48mph, and really revs. I need a new engine but I'm not sure what engine would be best??, I wanted a 90 engine or a transit. But I don't know much about conversions. Any help??
 
It'll make it a bit faster and quieter ;) but still don't expect to be going at lightspeed with one
 
Yeah I wouldn't expect to go really fast. Nothing beats crusing in your landy. I wanted to do the London to Brighton run, but I'm worried my engine won't make it, and going around 48mph is gona take a while lol
 
I need a cheap engine and a reliable one for my Betsy. If not a transit then what else would fit my series??? I don't know anything about this all I know is I need one : )

If the engine runs ok and is just topping out (won't rev anymore) then its a gearing problem not a power problem.As someone mentioned, an overdrive will help as would range rover diff or a high ratio transfer gear.

Doesn't matter what diesel engine you put in, it won't go much faster. Just get to top speed quicker. Unless you can get one that revs higher.
