To keeps us all happy why not block all forums on here apart from the introduce yourself section for your first post? With a short explanation of what to write, ie what you own, where your from? Ect...

With that it could hopefully prevent new comers posting the ushal 'what's the biggest tyres I can fit on my free lander' in the landyzone 10th anniversary bash section

Then getting scared off :D

Just a thought if it's feasible, may help newcomers getting involved with the forum rather than coming on, getting the info that they want then buggering off, leaving us feel used and abused :p

Cheers guys:tea:

I see you've got to have 50 posts to create a topic in the for sale section so I guess it would be a easy thing to do working on this basis.

would be a good idea especially after reading the post from that nob about his headlights in 3 different sections .............

I've been on forums in the past that do that, introduce then wait for mods to allow you on the forum :)

Really it isn't that hard to work out, you create an account and see the different sections, I can't remember if it tells you to go to the intro section first or not.

Don't know why some people struggle with this, :p

A lot of fora require a/some posts to be moderated.

LZ is much busier than any other foeummnnnnnn-nnn i'm on.

Can the swear filter be set to "tyre" as well as cnùt?

it's hardly the kypton factor but so many get it wrong

this would require a lot of work to be done by the owners and mods to impliment

Maybe a little better explanation when you sign up could help too, like explaining the search function and the different sections of the forum.

Even if your first post is forced in the intro section you can bet somebody will give no intro and ask a question, even though some do it politely

what should happen is that folks don't answer their questions til they've intro'd

but that doesn't happen either

I know nothing about web design, and would imagine it would be quite a bit of work, however the for sale section of the site has the same sort of function, ie 50 posts needed.

So I'd imagine you could set all the other forums to 1 post needed, apart from intro section.

Sounds like a plan:)

Figuring out to go to introduce yourself first (and not asking questions) is the initiation test isn't it? Snot rocket science and if you can't work it out you won't notice the ****-taking either so might as well leave it surely?
