Since I look the engine out to do the clutch I cannot for the life of me work out where to plug the fuel gage back into the wiring loom at the back of the bulkhead

I’ve looked at wiring diagrams, trial and errored every plug possible but still can’t work it out. Feel like I’m going mad.

Could someone with a 200tdi defender see where it plugs in?

see photos for which wire I mean

photo 1 - end of wire coming from the fuel tank sender that I can’t work out where to plug it back in

photo 2 - the wire as it come up into the engine bay from the fuel tank sender

Weird - doesn't let me upload photos anymore just says "i don't have permission" but its the plug that has a white and a green wire and you can see the bound wire come up from the fuel tank into the engine bay if that makes sense. Will try and upload tomorrow

Photos uploaded. Any help greatly appreciated

You will see a multiplug on the bulkhead, I think it's a 10 way. The gauge plugs in at one end. On mine, there's only one way for a two way plug to fit.
Mine is playing up too, and I haven't checked that plug. I know there is an iffy contact somewhere!

Im amazed I couldn’t work that out myself. That’s sorted it. I’d plugged another cable into that plug. 18months of not having a working fuel gage have finally ended
