...I went out to my car this morning and when I started the engine it didn't have to raise the suspension from where-ever it had sunk to!

I changed the final air bag this morning (even though it wasn't leaking) now at least I have 4x new air bags. The front n/s has to be the easiest one to do, took me less than an hour and that included messing about for about 10 mins making sure I had it jacked up safely (don't have any axel stands here) and packing all my tools away again!

Looking forward to a problem free EAS system now that all the bags are nice and new!

Now I just have to sort the stereo out, which seems to have died on me - perhaps from running the car for a short while on the bump stops?? It gets pretty bouncy and bangy! Think I'll put an aftermarket one in. Anyone got any suggestions? I want one that I can plug my iPod directly into.

Hi there.
I just joined up and this is my first post (apart from in the welcome bit)
Im a bit of an audio addict so I can answer this one straight away!
Alpine have an iPod inteface which will fit quite a few of their models.
The interface will not only enable you to control the iPod via the Car stereo but also via the steering wheel controls too!

Oh and it will also charge your iPod too!

Have a look at this link

Cool, thanks. That's what I'm looking for, one that will plug into the bottom socket on the iPod so the stereo can take total control and display the song details on the head unit etc. rather than just one that plugs into the headphones socket.

Sadly I don't have the controls on the steering wheel, that would be a handy feature.

I saw this head unit on eBay,

but a bit dubious about buying something like that from eBay. Seems like a good price, but not sure! Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Matt.

Indeed, thet looks like a good price.....

Ebay is a great resource for getting a bargain however even though the item is new and the seller seems to be credible you must be aware that if a warranty claim arises, your on your own!

I use a couple of car audio companies in the Uk that are very very competitively priced

Yeah, I've got one of those, but two things

1 - you still have to mess about with the iPod rather than control it via the stereo,

and

2 - (more serious!) it is not easy to find a decent stereo now-a-days that plays a casette! and it seems more sensible if I am upgrading to buy one that plays CD's.
