Looking good :)

Given the rather high standard of your welding, I'm so tempted to say something horrible about it as a joke .... but not sure if it'd work "online" ....;)

Working my way towards the driver’s side.

With the driver’s side collector in position i can fabricate the other manifold.

One problem i have encountered is the exhaust pipe closest to the bulkhead on the drivers side clashes with the footwell. For me this isnt a problem anyway, i was always planning on fitting the lower puma bulkhead of these 2 photos for clearence.

This is my 90 a 1990 200tdi on 35-12.5-15 wheels/tyres. Lt77 gearbox 1.222 transferbox.
Nice. Just as a side point. It looks like you either need wider flares or different tyres/spacer removal.

In the U.K. wheels sticking out of the arches is illegal and against construction & use regulations (has nothing to do with the MoT). You could be pulled and fined for it. Plus it helps give 4x4’s and Land Rovers in general a bad rap.

Isn't the first step to buy shares in BP? lol
Depends how many miles a year you are doing. A Tuned Tdi isn’t most likely only doing 21-24mpg. A good V8 should avaerage 17-19mpg.

A difference. But if annual mileage is low to moderate it might work out at only £20-50 a month more to run.

I have wider arches to put on.

That’s debatable i suppose!
I dont like the look without the larger arches.

i would like to clarify my view, i only think the tyres sticking out of the arches looks ****e, the rest of the landy looks spot on. Just looks like the wheels are an afterthought imo. Wider arches would work.

Anyway, just my opinion!

Are you doing all the exhaust fabbing with the landy on the floor ? Very awkward but lovely job. Nothing worse than climbing under and out constantly taking measurements, cutting and checking for fitment .
