For anyone considering buying Kumho's, this piece of info I extracted from a dealer the other day might be useful:

Kumho has been taken over by a bank, and in this period they're prioritising the more profitable ranges i.e. road tyres. Apparently they've slowed down production of 4X4 type tyres completely, with only the occasional bulk batch making it's way to our shores. Dealer said that it may soon be difficult to find a spare if you need one. There's also a current backlog of orders.

That'll be all.

we stopped using kumho tyres at work a while back due to there quality. they were waering out after 10000 miles no good when you have 1000 odd cars

I've got Cooper Discoverer STT's and on the side it says 'Made in USA' good enough for me :)

Kumhos have been slow in supply for years. I had right trouble getting 2 spares 2 years ago. They seem to do only one shipment a year. That years shipment was 6 months overdue;)

its been said before by me but, the Cooper STT's are brilliant.

Some will say the BFG KM2 are better but i think its horses for courses. Also the coopers are £20 cheaper at paddocks. There £145+vat @paddocks. dont think there cheaper anywhere else.

I know yours are 285? If I'm right? :D

A set of four 265/75's at Billing last year was £500, I think because they don't really want to take stock home, and it was raining so I think I got a good deal there, and they were fitted :)
