i was farting about doing some landrover stuff today when i had a moment.
is there any reason why the footwells cannot be riveted in place. they ain't load bearing so i can't think of a reason why not. not that i need to as i welded my buggers in, I was just curious if i ever need to do it again .

Dunno Slob although I suspect there's gonna be some Department of Transport directive issued by some over zealious knob saying NO.

Regards WP.

Dunno if the footwells of a series are the same as a 90s but on a 90 they're fastened in with self tappers but then they're more a floor than a footwell, I'll get me coat.

Yeah, I don't see much difference between fastening with self tapping screws and rivits myself. If not rivets being the more durable of the two. (less likely to undo)

ah don't mean the floor, i mean the bit where, on the drivers side, the pedals come through. the floor is fixed in using what i think are called rag screws or something like that, they're not self tapper cos they have a bigger thread on them
