Does anyone know what the font is that is used for the "one life. live it." stickers on the camel trucks, i've found quite a few similar but can't find the correct one.

Also does anyone do the bonnet blackout sticker for a Disco, don't want to spray it unless I have to.

I've seen those, not really big enough for what I want.

I want a big graphic, like this.

(don't know whose Disco it is, found it whilst trawling the net one day)

Yu could try the exact replicas for size. They are 75cm x 17cm and available at at www.cameltrophyshop.co.uk.

If you wanted somethig authentic but custom size, you could try the company that does all the replication for Camel Trophy Owners Club restorations. They are called "Signs of Saltford" and are on 01225 874037. If you phone and say you are after a Camel Trophy sticker, they will know what you are on about and will be able to let you know how much it will cost to produce and deliver exactly what you want.

If postage is a problem, I live about five minutes away and we could always meet half way (you're in Glocs, aren't you?)

Looks like Arial Black Bold font to me, variation on standard Arial.

Don't think so. It may be based on Helvitica (which is the printers' version of Arial) but if you look closely you will see it is all "skewiffy and speckedy".

Yup, Fancy - Eroded - Viper Nora font looks like a good start. Takes ages to search though :)

Thanks for that Blippie, i'll give them a try.

Nearest I found searching fonts is "AE Boilerplate Extreme"

Eroded - Viper Nora

Sorry, nowhere near.

Maybe i'm just being fussy, but if your going do it, you have to do it right. Theres nothing worse that a copy or replica that dosn't look the same as the original.

This is my first response to a problem (?) so please go easy. If you take a picture of what you want with the dimensions you want to virtually any sign shop that does inkjet printing, they should be able to knock some up for you. If they don't already have the font you want, they can most certainly adjust the nearest one until you're happy. Just look in the yellow pages or something for signwriters or print shops. May cost a bit doing it this way but you should get exactly what you want.

Already spoken to my local sign guy (who does all my business stuff) he says could take weeks searching for the correct font and still not find it, easiest way is find the right font and but it or find someone who already has the font.

Join a few fonts forums and post a pic of the font one of the resident anoraks will probably find it for you.

That's my Disco! Found this thread whilst trawling the net one day - trying to find the font for the Land Rover badge on the bonnet. :D
