Hi
I'm having trouble with my fog lamps, I have searched but can't find specific answer!
I have 4 mini lamps mounted together there is a red and black wire. When I earth the black and touch positive to battery they come on fine. But when I wire it to come on with the main headlights it keeps blowing the fuse to the headlamps. So what am I missing here?
I did have some led strips that wired to the sidelights directly with no problem. Came on and off with headlights! But I took them off as I looked like a chav. The cable from the new lamps is about 1mm thicker than the landy wiring to the headlamps.
Any advice?

You prob need to add a relay, Landrovers do a kit with an internal switch which I've got and there's a space for the relay in the fuse box area, but a relay under the bonnet wired to the hi beam should work, that's how I had them on my old fessie, I'm no sparkle so no idea, an auto spark will charge you about 40quid to fit them, also have you tried putting a bigger fuse in?

I thanks for your reply I was thinking about a bigger fuse but was worried about melting the car lol. What relay did you use

i would say that your lights are drawing to many amps forthe circit and thats why the fuse keeps blowing, as suggested above a relay will solve the issues but i would use the lights to switch the relay and take a new 12v feed from the battery with an inline fuse

This...

No idea on correct relay, try an eBay for light relay search, tbh tho if your unsure I'd spend the £40 fee a spark would charge and let them do it..
