no fog lamps on disco 3. checked fuses and relays and found no power to fuses 32 & 38. why would this be?

No relay involved in the fog lamps operation, fuses 32P and 38P should have feed only with lights on and fog lamp switch on so if no feed this way check for power at the switch

Hi @bokko

Plus 1 what @sierrafery said ref the switch

Start off at 2E and work ur way through with a multimeter, also ensure the earths are ok

Hope that’s helps

Thanks guy's, very helpful. I have now checked the switch, power to it is ok and power through it to headlamps ok but nothing through fog lights part. everything else seams to be as it should, bulbs, earths etc so have narrowed it down to the switch itself and ordered a new one. fingers crossed

No need to have your fingers crossed, you have tested the switch and found its faulty, or are u just guessing.

Glad it helped , plus don’t forget you’ve got fog light connectors behind ur front headlights , drivers side u should see 2 x plugs, 1 x for the fogs and other connector is front parking sensor

Turn ur fog light switch on and see if u have power at those connectors

As @discool mentioned , must ensure 100% u have power at certain points or ur start pullling ur hair out

Don’t start throwing parts at until you’ve found a fault

Plse let us know what voltage you’ve got at those front connectors plse , thks

gstuart, I've been a bit busy and only just seen your latest post so apologies for not replying until now.

Anyway, I got the new (second hand) switch, fitted it,still no fogs! Not quite at hair pulling stage yet so checked through everything again. Tested the new switch just incase, pulled fuses out, put fuses back etc etc. Tested power to switch and found nothing! Now I'm head scratching! Check everything again, tried finding these connectors behind the headlights with not much luck so unfortunately cannot tell you what voltage I have at them. After a bit bit more checking and wiggling I thought I would just try the switch again, you never know. Happy Days!!! All working perfectly. Now can't get it not to work so don't know what is, or what was at fault. It even works with the old switch so it wasn't that either.

Thanks for your input and diagrams which were all very helpful. I may not have found what was wrong but I do have working Fogs now, and hopefully I do tomorrow at the MOT
