Hi,

New to the forum so Hello!!

I've got a 4.0 P38A and its developed a bit of an odd problem................. Its started 'floating' all over the road! The tracking is ok and the tyres are all good (18" wheels)

It seems to have become very sensitive to road camber and on bad roads its a job to keep it in a straight line. Funnily enough it gets better at higher speed on the motorway but then this may be due to the road being flatter?

Anyhow its not too nice to drive and I was hoping that someone might have an idea of what the problem could be?

Any advise or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Drag link ends & tyre pressures, try dropping the rears to 28psi (unloaded)
Make of tyre is also sometimes the cause.

Check drag links and drop links as above, if fine the steering box probably needs adjusting. That's all that was wrong with mine when I got it.

Also check your ride heights. My rangie drives much better after i recalibrated EAS sensors. Front was slightly (1 inch) higher than it should be, but it drove like a mad cow, all over the road...
