Hi all

I'm currently fitting flexi arches to my 5 door discovery. I have done both the fronts and gonna do the rear tomorrow the very back part should be easy same as fronts really. On the door one I'm gonna cut the inner skin then fold over the outer skin.

My question is do I need to cut any out of the inner arch on where the door opens? Where the seat belt mounts are i mean? Looking at pictures on Google I can't work it out and says nothing in instructions about it?

OK cool I take it this won't affect the mot? As doesn't there need to be a certain amount of good metal from the seat belt anchor points?

Anyone with flexi arches fitted got a pic of there's with the rear door open so I can get an idea of what I'm looking to do?

Didn't effect the mot on mine, they're looking for Rot more than cutting out metal, any good garage will see that it's not going to effect strength cutting the lip down to about half its size

Cheers for that, I take it you did all the cutting in the door and fitted the arch to the door, then close the door and with a pen mark around in inside of the plastic arch and this will show how much to cut out?

Yes mate just like that. My need abit of fettling but aslong as your happy with how it looks thats all that matters.
