An update, my FL2 is now fixed. It was the actuator and at first the garage thought it might have been the turbo too because the blades felt ceased. Anyway they managed to get them spinning nice a freely and they replaced the actuator and gave it a service and they tightened the hand brake which was a surprise.

Still it cost a decent chunk of change. But I am happy enough with the service from 4x4Rugged in Speke.
How much was the turbo actuator? I believe the actuator in mine is also defective and needs replacing, but not that many place sells it. I could get a new turbo with new actuator for about 700€ and the replacement works separately.

This company will repair it for you. They will do their best to keep the current calibration so it will still match yer turbo for efficiency etc when returned. They repaired my turbo actuator.

The actuator was £175 OEM.

Total price was £697 including VAT.

Crankshaft maybe going intermittent and considering you have thrown a load of parts at the car and it's not solved the problem, what is another £25 it's only money right.

Maybe have a read first if you want too;)

So just a quick update, the culprit for my secondary issues was a faulty TDi Tuning box. I did find it odd that I couldn't change the settings on it but never thought to connect the two.

Anyway I have now deleted it and the engine is back to normal.

Now I don't know if this faulty box had any bearing the the turbo actuator going in the first place, I know these actuators are only rated to 150k miles and that's what mine has done.

Now let's see what the next fault will be 🤣
