I'm looking to buy a FL2 and I'm aware that some models don't allow bluetooth music streaming.

I know there are certain models with phone connectivity but won't do the music side of things and this is important as I spend so much of my time driving and listening to music.

Just wondered if anyone had any info on what year or variants do have this function?

I can stream music to my FL2 HU, however it's not available on any model as standard or optional. I use a tiny Bluetooth device which plugs into a discrete USB power supply, which has a lead with 3.5mm jack plug, which plugs into the adjacent AUX socket. The HU doesn't control the music player, but the music will play just fine. I must admit I use CD more than BT, as the CD players will play back MP3 files, so hundreds of tracks fit on one CD, which of course gives the track name on the HU screen.

We do a similar thing with our Disco 4 but it can be controlled through the steering wheel. Was just hoping there might be an option that works out of the factory.

Interesting that Pure Highway 600. I got a Belkin adaptor to plug iPhone into aux between seats, with phone sat on home made Magsafe dash mount. Not ideal with wires but it's alright.

I use this if I stream music from my Droid. I like it because it's compact, works seamlessly and I can still use the car's BT for calls, which mutes the audio, as does the PDC when it's active.

I notice Amzn have these with Sony LDAC built in (higher quality audio over bt) so I might save up pocket money for one, 35 quid!

The highway 600 is a more professional solution and the remote can be stored anywhere. You can answer calls from there and I found it to be among the only one that automatically resumes playlist once connected, all other garbage sound especially on calls and I have to manually open pulsar to play music.
I even modified my 6500 cd on fl1 to enable aux so I can add the pure 600 :)

Does the Highway 600 allow you to control tracks though the steering wheel etc?
It would have to interface with the car's infotainment system to do that, so the answer would be no. The only way to do that is to use MP3 files on CD in the infotainment CD drive.

I use my phone in a mount to the left of the steering wheel, so tracks can be changed from there. I use the factory infotainment system for calls, as it has great voice quality with an invisible microphone, and it mutes the music while the call is taking place.
