hi all
Just wanting to know what max size with width and height I can put on my fl1 as wanting something like the floatation tyres and maybe gain little ride height and smoother ride off road with larger walls. Any one got any info about this ?

The info is on here, try a search. If you've got a specific tyre size in mind, search on that as it will probably give you an answer.

Nice one thank you.
Trying to find info on is there alloys/ steel rims wider than stock at 16 inch? Will I have to mod the hippo in any way to fit the wider/higher tyres on if that makes sense

Freelanders came stock with 15", 16" and 17" wheels - if you search (for example) on 225/75R16 you'll get a bunch of hits.

Yes I understand what you mean. What I'm wanting to know and not explained my self properly is what's my limit.
Ones that are on now are 215/85/r16.
Who makes wider alloys and are there issues ? Wanting to put tyres like this on.

lol I don't think you got any chance of getting 32s on a Freelander - but I may be corrected!

Standard Freelander tryes have a diameter of just over 27 inches - those in that pic are at least 32" - probably 33". They simply won't fit in the wheel arches and you ain't going to move the A Pillar. That's before you even start thinking about fouling suspension etc.

If you look at pictures of 'DLanders' with that size of tyre on - they are basically 'monster trucks' where the body is raised above the tyre!

They'll also push the car 20% further for each turn of the engine/wheel - and without low-range - it ain't going to perform very well.

very interesting so is this fully legal todo. I guess the body will come off the chassis?
So is it disco running gear underneath?
Also does this mean for the freelander that if chassis rots you can just plant it on a new one? Same with the body of the freelander body can be repaired etc. Sorry very new to this all

Freelander doesn't have a separate chassis.
