I don't know about SA, but here in the UK, the solenoids are readily available, although expensive. You need to have the gearbox codes read, so you can pinpoint what solenoid has failed. Then just order the replacement from a UK supplier, so most will ship worldwide.

You could end up with a gearbox that has more problems than the one you have. If it's just a solenoid valve, then those are replaceable items with the box still in the car.

This is why you need to have the codes read, so you only replace the failed one. The main gearbox supplier here only lists about 4, which are the most likely to fail.
