Heya guys.... Im gona be fittin a new lift pump to ma 200tdi this weekend and was winderin ifi need to have the engine in any partucular position ( ie.. tdc) or canni jus stick the new the new one on

stick it on mate, pipe it up and bleed it through. job done.

you dont set the cam then ?

No just unbolt it and skick the new one on.....Simples

you dont make sure the arm fits over the cam

There's a utube video about fitting a lift pump I saw a while ago. It did say that if the lever isn't in the right place you won't be able to prime it properly with the manual priming lever.
