got 2 new airbags/springs, going to fit them this wekend coming(finally)
opened box tonight and had a look, all ok except, these do not have a nut to fix pipe in, i think they are push fit, i only had a quick look at the distructions,
now the question is, got them from island 4x4, dunlops, are they easy to fit and i take it you cut the threaded nut off the air pipe and push fit these in,
any knowlage greatfully appreciated, as when i start i want to finish

Yes the newer bags are push fit pipes, just slide the old nut back up the pipe a bit and cut the pipe with a sharp knife just behind the olive, slide the old nut off the pipe and fit the pipe into the new connector.don't forget to get new retaining clips to secure the bags at the top as the old ones will probably fall to bits when removed.

I thought as much, asked the question and got a good reply,
New clips have come with the bags
Cheers

Forgot to mention that once you have removed the clips and pipe and dropped the bag down twist the bag through 90 degrees to release it from the cup on the axle
Good luck:)

well today was the day new bags fitted finally,
jacked car up, took wheels off, the pass side bag was an orginal landrover, driver side had been replaced with a dunlop, did the soapy water trick for curiosity, bubbles on pass side in 2 places, side looking at wheel and 180 degrees facing inwards, drivers side ok,
so un did top clips, then as Sierrafery, James martin and biglad said,"stick em"
so i did with the help of Stanley, out came the air, undid the orginal with 10mm spanner, pulled nut back and cut pipe, removed bag

pulled collet back on drivers side out came pipe, removed bag
put new bags into situ, replaced both pipes, jacked bags into situ, replaced clips
then started car to inflate bags, all ok, checked for leaks etc, found another job!!, needs new rear pads,
wheels back on, took longer too get axle stands and jack out and put all away again than it took to do the job,
