Morning, I bought my series 2a landrover as a project and I am up to the point of fitting new seat bases and backs. The Landy has the existing non moveable frames fitted, these have holes in to in some way connect to the seats but the seats have no visible way to conect in to them and as they are new I dont want to ruin them.
My Landy came without the old seats so I cant use them a a template.
Many thanks:D

My seat base's just sit in the frame and are not fixed, but mine is an ex mod with the fuel tanks under the seats.I think the seats are the same though

Sorry, I see what you mean but what about the seat back:confused: The back I have is (I think) Britpart MRC6982.

On mine the seat runners have upward extensions with holes in. The seat backs have hinge pins on their sides at the bottom which locate in the holes and are retained with washers and split pins. Except the middle seat which has bolts instead of pins!
It's probably best to look at the drawings in the parts book to see how it all fits together - you'll get all the variations in there.

if its the same as the britpart deluxe seat backs you will be able to feel underneath the cloth a series of threaded holes make sure by looking at the fitting diagram that you peirce the right one. i can get pics of mine up later if you wish. a tip when fitting i found is to add two more washers after the larger washer to space the seat back away from the seat frame to stop the vinyl rubbing on the frame.

Sorry, got it wrong - the centre seat has the pins, the outer seats have the bolts. 109party is probably right, the holes will be somewhere under the vinyl. MCR6982 are the deluxe seats, look in the parts book to see how they fit.
