I can get my hands on some good tires at a nice price and for that price, the alloys are also lncluded :).

I`ve read that the alloys will not fit without any adjustment to my Disco1.

Is it very difficult to make them fit my car? Will the needed parts be very expensive?

I`m curious as to what you can tell me on this subject (did do a search on the forum, but did not learn enough on the subject).

Rgds,

Robert

the studs have different spacings on each model so the holes don't line up with the studs if you try to fit D2 wheels to a D1. You can buy a convertor, which is a disc that has 5 holes drilled to fit a D1 hub and 5 studs attached to fit a D2 wheel but they are. A: Not cheap to buy and B: move your wheels further out and cause problems with wheelbearings etc. Your better off selling the D2 Alloys and buying a set of D1 Alloys.

mate i bought some disco 2 wheels for my disco 1 off ebay, 5 for £350 - bargain, the best price i could get some adaptors/spacers was just under 500 quid an i searched everywhere! needless to say the wheels went back. maybe i was just unlucky, in the end i bought 4 BF Goodrich A/Ts from paddock spares, had em fitted writing side out on existing XS alloys and they made the disco look/handle 100 times better! cheap too

I get the picture ;-)

I`ll just forget about the Disco2 alloys... For me it was just an option to widen my options to buy some alloys to fit my wintertyres since there is not a whole lot for sale in The Netherlands.

What I can buy are the Vogue wheels from the RR. These are not very much my taste, but I don`t find them too ugly, I think I`ll just stay with those than...

tnx for thinking along with me!

If you get defender alloys they should fit your disco 1 fine as they are the same stud pattern.
