I have a round hole in my new raptor dash...I have my clock, turbo gauge, volts etc. I think I need a oil pressure gauge to complete the job...after searching this forum I can't find any tips or instructions on how to fit? Can anybody give concise instructions on how too please? Thanks in advance

I think you can get those things that go between the oil filter and the housing or somewhere if there are no other take off points..?

do you know if the gauge you have is lucas? I did have a lucas oil pressure gauge in my dash cluster up near the speedo cluster. you will find that the wiring should already be in place but will need to know what engine is fitted so you can check if it already has a pressure sender unit or not. Go electric if you can it much simpler.
heading out to the shed soon so will see if i can get a copy off the wiring instructions from the new gauges i have fitted which maybe of help.

Electric is easier but not as accurate as a capillary one. Sender unit sits on a T piece where your oil pressure/level warning light sender is. put both of these into the T piece. 2 connections off the sender, run these back to the cab.

make sure your gauge is in the correct range for your engine. there is no point having a 0-20 bar if your engine sits at 3-4.

make sure sender matches gauge.

I recommend VDO.

wiring of gauge as per usual.

The debate between electrical and mechanical gauges is really 6 to 1 half a dozen to the other. It all comes down to preference.
If you do go down the path of an electrical gauge you have the same connections you had to all your other gauges ie; power, dash light, earth and signal. You can either run a wire to the sender unit which it may already have or the gauge you buy if aftermarket will probably come with its own sender. I thing you will need to think of is the thread on the pressure sensor. It needs to match that of the Land Rover or you need to get an adapter to make it fit.
This is what the lucas oil pressure sender looks like on my 110 v8

and this is a brand new aftermarket sender

the signal wire from the gauge goes to the unit. sometimes the unit will also have a pin for earth

I got my T piece from Croytec. Give him your engine type and he will match sender thread type to original and produce the Tpiece. I got the set of 3 usually found in VWs. pressure/temp and volts complete with senders for £40 inc all wireing harnesses etc.

I took both senders to Croytec and he got the T piece made for me :) nice to deal with.

Guys,
Many thanks for your replies, and great pics rappy. I think I will contact Croytec as advised by Griff doug and let him sort it out...
