It did help mine but I fitted it to a 200tdi. Mine wasn't breathing really heavily but I still wasnt keen on the oil in the air filter and for the cost of the setup I couldn't really complain. The oily sludge that it collected though was horrid but rather in that than in my air filter

Thanks for that.
I think I'll give it a go and suck it & see (not the oil):D
I can always use it also when I eventually source a 200tdi for mine :)
(by the way 99% of the time she sits at 55mph very happily, just had to get past Lewis Hamilton in his HGV this morning)!:eek:

I know there is bound to be one somewhere, but as this is another opportunity to up my post count so that I can get closer to posting ads, does anyone have or know of a guide to fitting an oil catch tank to a 90.
Thanks again.
:D
On my old 19j I ran the vent pipe into the chassis rail.:lol:

Hi guys, I was doing a service on my 19j today and got ****ed off with oil in my air filter, so I ordered a catch can from ebay. But as I was putting new filter in today (and cleaned out air box) I thought I'd do a quick fix for now- pipe from breather into an empty washing up liquid bottle which I zip tied secure. I havnt put another pipe from bottle to air box and I havnt sealed the hole in air box. Will this be ok for now? or am I missing something?
Thanks

The trouble with the 19j system is the vent pipe joins in before the air filter[daft idea] so it gums up quick but this also means it does not matter that air box connection is open[for every day use]

Cheers totot. Didn't think it would matter to much, I'll be fitting catch can in few days anyway. So system will be sealed soon. I've ordered a cheap one from ebay in haste today but on further research I've read you should fit the ones with baffles in! What do you think guys?

I would just fit what you got,baffles only help catch a little bit more oil.:)

!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Found A 200TDI!:clap2::clap2::clap2:
Will now rebuild it and fit when done so hopefully catch tank no longer required:)
Thanks everyone.
