Hi, I've bought a Tiger Shark winch for my defender 90, got a new winch and bumper on ebay for £320 which seems like a bargain.
I've fitted it on but need to extend the wiring to the battery and ideally fit an isolator. Brit
part do a wiring extender kit, any good? or any other reccomendations please.
Thanks.

I would make your own cables, that way its the length you want routed the way you want, not because someone else has decided to cut the cables that length.
Look on ebay Im pretty certain theres sellers on there that will make you exactly what you want length and lug size wise
Ref the isolator switch get the h/d one with metal handle, the ones with plastic red handle are a little toy town.
Im tight so make my own

Make sure you get cable that'll cope with the amp draw! :) I went for 25mm squared cross sectional surface area. Nice to get hold of some high flex if you can - otherwise it a pain to get it to bend round tight angles! I got a blow torch and some solder and made the cables up myself - not too difficult... worth a go if you feel confident enough to do it! :)

Just fitted the same winch to my 90.
You'll need 3.5-4m of cable, as others have said make sure you get cable that is thick enough / can handle the amps.

You'll need a very heavy duty cable crimper to crimp the ring connectors on the ends (I've heard mixed feedback about soldering them on)

...and use one of these to isolate the cable at the battery end. Rated at 550amps continuous and 1000amps for 5 seconds, much better than those switches with the removable key.

The ones with the removal key are man enough so long as its the metal key, the plastic ones are a bit limp, plus you can take it with you.
